It all started next to a coffee machine at ESA’s Earth Observation headquarters in Frascati, Rome. As satellites orbit the planet and collect massive amounts of data every day, we began asking ourselves: Who’s actually using all this information?
The answer was surprising—commercial applications were nearly non-existent. We saw a gap and an opportunity. With a clear mission to democratize access to satellite data, we set out to turn this overlooked resource into actionable insights. From monitoring infrastructure to enhancing safety on an industrial scale, we were driven by a vision to use Earth observation to solve real-world problems. Inspired by the Titan4 rocket—an engineering marvel that launched groundbreaking missions—we chose the name Titan4 to reflect our ambition to deliver equally transformative solutions.
This is where our journey began: with a simple question, a bold idea, and a determination to make satellite data work for everyone. Through the ESA BIC incubation program and a seed investment from Galaxia - the Italian Technology Transfer Hub on Aerospace powered by CDP Venture Capital - we gained the support needed to turn our vision into reality.
